Mission from 8/31/2014 Attack on Servus 70
Lord Typhus the Traveler attacked the Industrial World of Servus 70. Small bands of Space wolves and other imperials rallied to its last defense.
Sowing the plagues of the Destroyer Hive, Typhus’s activity piqued the interest of Scabeiathrax the Bloated (the Wind of Nurgle). In a last ditch stand, the marines are trying to stop Typhus’s strike force from gaining the production facilities to spread contagion throughout the entire system.
Battlefield: Pre-set by GM
Objectives: 3 Key Industrial Objectives
Deployment: Forces of Nurgle set up first and go first.
Game Length: 6-7 turns
Victory: Each objective is worth 3 vp, Kill points are worth 1 vp each, Scabeithrax is worth 3 vp (3 to Nurgle if he is alive, 3 to Imperials if he is dead)
Secondary Objective: Slay the Warlord, First Blood, Linebreaker
Mission Special Rules: Reserves
Outcome: We finished turn 4 with a minor victory for chaos. Some initial terrible shooting on either side left a small casualty count early. First blood was scored by Chaos at the bottom of the 3rd. By the end of the 4th, combat had broken out everywhere and Scabaiethrax was romping about the board.
